"IT'S TIME TO PLAY IN THE DIRT!"
Work Services Program
PANTHEON'S HOMEG.R.O.W.N. FARM will offer year-round employment to people involved in Pantheon's vocational and work services programs. Workers will be taught how to plant and care for flowers, how to monitor heat and humidity levels, and, most importantly, how to work as a team! Workers may also be involved in implementation of fundraisers or employment opportunities related to the seasonal retail outlets.
During the spring season, the farm already grows over 75 varieties of annual flats, along with numerous other spring favorites, which also include a nice selection of perenials for purchase. Along with fundraising, HOMEG.R.O.W.N. operates three seasonal huts located next to popular shopping centers and grocery stores in the local area. In addition, if you prefer not to plant your flowers yourself, farm staff are available to assist in planting your personal garden, including individualized decorative pots or flowerbeds. Staff are also available to provide these services to local businesses in the area. The rest of the year will be spent culivating compost and growing produce. Our high-tech facility will also house a number of tilapia and yellow perch aquaponics systems, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn about fish, water, and ph balance while also learning about the mini- ecosystem and the produce and plantlife sprouting from the top of the aquaponics systems. Most importantly, it provides another meaningful and educational work experience for people with disabilities.

What's new!
Aquaponics
... is the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. The beauty of aquaponics is that in the combining of the two, they equal out each other's negative aspects.
Compost
... is a pile of rotting material used to amend or add to the garden soil. Compost speeds up and increases the production of a vegetable garden.
Here at our farm we use:
Brewery waste
Food waste
Paper waste
Coffee waste
Miscellaneous waste
Vermicompost
... means that we use worms to accelerate the compost process. Our worms turn the rotting material into hearty plant food.
Animal farm/Livestock
Come and enjoy our therapeutic hands-on petting zoo!
